GIREAU is proud to announce the official launch of Carrefour de l’eau, which took place on April 29 at the Quai du Cap Blanc hall in Quebec City, in the presence of the mayor of Quebec City. The evening provided an opportunity to hear about the mission and objectives of the Carrefour de l’eau organization and to learn more about the initiatives and projects that will be launched in the coming months.

This is a large-scale project in Quebec that brings together numerous partners: INRS, 2 Degrés/Carrefour de l’eau, H2O Innovation, Patriarche Architecture, Cteau, the City of Quebec, and the Port of Quebec. It is part of Quebec City’s Sustainable Development Strategy and its Drinking Water Conservation Strategy.

Carrefour de l’eau is an innovative building project in the field of water management that will provide a hub of expertise in water science and technology. It will be divided into several components, such as laboratories and test benches, and an interpretation center.

GIREAU is involved in this strategic project by setting up the scientific program. In practical terms, the general public will have the opportunity to attend scientific events this summer related to wastewater recycling, natural and urban water cycles, and sources of pollution !
