Sophie Duchesne’s team, in partnership with INRS’s SePSSI, designed and produced activities for the general public this summer at the Carrefour de l’eau technology showcase at the Quebec City wastewater treatment plant. These activities were made possible thanks to financial support from CentrEau and the involvement of Carrefour de l’eau partners.
These activities, presented by two interns from the team, focused on water in cities and, more specifically, the recycling of wastewater into drinking water. Visits to the showcase and popular science workshops were offered to high school students in early July as part of the INRS Apprentis chercheurs program, as well as to the general public during events held from July 24 to August 12.
In total, just over 50 people attended these events during this period.
